Last time, our hero took you from the glimmering summit of la Tour Eiffel to the depths of the undersea Chunnel, from the soaring splendors of the French Alps to the bustling woes of the Parisian metro, from the peaks of mirth to the lows of a poor man puking his guts out in class . . .
This time, we're leaving the metropolitan life aside in favor of that which is more pure, more rugged, more . . . Breton: la Bretagne!

Seth, thanks. Why not communicate in French so we have to learn it??? I might remember one or two words from college! Have fun...I have never "blogged" as that is so the 2000s and I am stuck in the '60s! But there is always a time to learn - so you can be my teacher. Love ya much, Aunt Andrea

It's great to see you are doing so well! I'm so excited for you. I'll be out to visit :)
PE is going great! We just started learning volleyball from grades 1-5, and other than students attempting to play dodgeball or basketball every once in a while, things are great.
Please put whatever you write in French in English, too...that'd be great. Every once in a while I wonder what you said. You're usually really good about that.

I have a friend in France and one in Mexico. Lin is down in Mexico teaching English. I think I'm going down over spring break. Any tips on cheap tickets? I can't find one cheaper than $550.
You missed the Bluffton Street Fair. I was down there last night. It was exciting. :) I got a free air freshener in the tent! haha
I hope everything goes well for you. This is the first time I've been on a blogspot and I thought I'd take up a lot of room.

Here I am downstairs writing for the first time on your blog. Dad is on the couch watching T.V. Just as I am getting settled in to read the comments, the door upstairs opened and someone just walked in. I just froze, thinkin it was you!! Then reality hit me and I thought, impossible!! I slowly turned and looked at Denny and said, "If you are here and I am here, it could only be Freddy!!" And for a second, I held my breath almost making myself believe it was you. (I knew deep inside tho, that it could not be..but who else could it be? Bryce does not live here anymore and Ashley is in CO.) I was almost afraid to look up the stairs, but I forced myself...it was Josh!!! He just stopped by to pick up the movie they are borrowing. Since he just walked in, (I did not hear a knock), that threw me and I knew it was you, yet I knew it could not be. That was a really strange feeling!! Oh well, I am breathing better now. By now, 10:00 P.M., you are probably getting ready to be over the ocean. Godspeed and I hope to talk to you soon.

I thought of you today as I left VB practice. The weather was perfect; sunny w/ a slight breeze, temps in the lower 70's. On my way home I noticed farmers in their fields harvesting wheat. Fall is here [:)], but you are not [:(]!
Anyway I pray that you will adjust quickly & easily to your french world, yet always with a slight longing for your family back home. :)

Seth - I've enjoyed getting the updates. Gray was asking about you just this week! He asked me where you live and I said "France" and he asked about where you lived before France and I said Indiana with Aunt Jan, to which he commented that it's good you're in France because you can't live with your mom anymore because you're an adult!!! It was very funny. Hope you're loving every minute of being there!

As of today, we still do not have proper stairs in our foyer. I am referring to the small little cottage at Clear Lake. In fact the builder is ordering the parts for stair building today, Novemeber 7th. So you can see that it might be completed on your return. Or at least by Ash Bash 5. Don't laugh but I assembled my new Christmas tree one week before ghouls and goblins day. That had to be a record. But I could not return it unless I assembled it 10 days after I bought it. Oh well. So I'm a little early. It is prelit so no more hassles with the lights. I bet more divorces are caused by the application of Christmas tree lights. Just as you finish hanging the 20th string of lights, half the tree is dark while the other half is glowing brightly. Ha Ha. or Ho Ho.

Once again I am "right" there at the scene of your Thanksgiving Feast experiencing all the action taking place!! Good job!! And, see, I am right. You saw what Angie wrote about not being able to put down her mouse. Ha ha. Surely you bought extra editions of the pape with your pic in it. I would really appreciate it if you would send, with Ashley on her return home trip, my own personal copy of that part of the pape. Is that a possibility?? Thanks so much. Keep safe..and keep writing!!

Until today, I really never had a desire to visit Europe; instead I was quite content right here in Flat Land, USA. But now, wow do I wish I had $$$$. I would be booking my flight to visit both the heaven and the hell that you wrote about. This chapter towered over the rest, both in the descriptive language and the amazing pictures. Since I am not rolling in dough, I am glad that I was able to visit these places w/ you as my guide. I cried with you inside the concentration camp, and sat silent w/ you in awe of God's incredible handiwork at the cliffs. An incredible journey, even from my computer! Thanks for allowing me to tag along. Even if I never make it to Europe, I don't think I will quickly forget either place.
